What’s Wen’s World?
Wen’s World is about “Communicating Christ through Comics and Cartoons”! Here at Wen’s World, our goal is to make full use of the world’s most popular art form - cartoons - to spread God’s Word.
Wen’s World Christian Comics aims to bring the Bible’s stories to life through the comic medium. Our comics draw out God’s principles from the stories and show us how they still apply to us today.
A Brief History - How It All Started
Somewhere around 1998, cartoonist Favian Ee started fiddling out with HTML and learnt to build his own website. The first few versions were personal webpages featuring his own works. But in 1999, the Lord gave Favian a desire to do something different – a desire to use his skills to create a cartoon website with an evangelistic theme. Thus Wen’s World was born. In 2005, Pix Artz Pte Ltd was incorporated and the first Wen’s World products were produced. The first range of products included notebooks, bookmarks and postcards of 5 designs each. Later products include the comic book version of the First Noel (which first appeared on the original Wen’s World website), and a Christian calendar featuring the Names of God.
Visions for the Future
Wen’s World hopes to provide more than Bible comics and cartoons. In the future, we hope to provide other Christian material such as cartoon tracts to illustrated biographies to encourage and inspire people to seek our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and to experience Him more in their lives.
